The European Game

Today Pill is coming to London.

And tomorrow most of my friends will be going back to Brunei, including my brother.

Okay. Euro Fever. I haven't talked about it, so here I go.

I fancied Portugal at the start, what with Cristiano Ronaldo in the form of his life, and the likes of Deco, Maniche, Ricardo Carvalho and Quaresma in the team, they had the best chance of winning this since, well, when they lost to Greece in that final in their own country.

But since Germany beat them and are now in the final against Spain, I'm backing the Germans. They've got composure, resilience, luck and ability. When compared other teams like Netherlands or Spain though, their way behind on paper. When you've got the error-prone but occasionally-brilliant Lehmann as goalkeeper, you never know what you're gonna get. Ballack is a match-winner, but against Turkey he was awful. Schweinsteiger, Podolski and Lahm are all capable of turning the game around. But ever since Deisler retired tragically early, the only true creative force in the midfield is Ballack. Frings is amazing at defensive mid.

Spain. Well. It's the curse, ain't it. On paper they look like the best team in the championship. I mean, if you can afford to put Cesc Fucking Fabregas on the bench, then you've got one hell of a team. Torres, Villa, Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Iniesta, Sergio Ramos, Casillas, these are world-class players. Xavi, one of my favourite players, is one of the few (probably the only) players I've never ever seen give the ball away, ever. Casillas has the reflexes of a panther taking steroids and overdosed on caffeine. They're truly amazing players. But like Netherlands, they can't really seem to win anything.

So that's Germany to win the final.

We Knew What We Were Getting Into

Though I don't believe in the concept of exams (I've mentioned this several times here), it's inevitable that I have to revise for my A' Levels. The thing is, I really wanna go to UCL. I really do. A lot of my friends will be in London. Geo's been adamant that I should get AAA and go to UCL, because he's gonna be in Wimbledon doing Art. And London is only less than an hour away from Oxford, where Pill is, and hopefully where Pill will still be in late 2009.

And yes, before this I've been revising for four, maybe five hours straight (excluding lunchtime) today. And I still haven't touched the other section in my English paper. To do one essay in one hour takes a whole lotta preparation. I'm doing notes at the moment, so it'll be fresh in my mind, rather than just reading notes, which is boring as hell. But that also means a lot of work. Using the font Times New Roman Size 8, I've got 8 pages of notes already. And that is just for one essay i.e. one section of the two sections I have to do. And guess what. The 8-pages of notes are actually just a summary of all the notes I already have.

I'm kinda glad I only have one essay subject out of three. Maths is easy peasy. Chemistry is... Well... Difficult but on a different level to English.

What's been distracting me a bit right now is a band I recently discovered on the free CD I got from Rock Sound magazine. It's a Chicago-based band called Kill Hannah. Despite their emo look and emo name (which is delightfully derived from the name of the vocalist's ex-girlfriend), they are more electronica, darkwave alternative rock and not at all in the mould of My Chemical Romance or LostProphets. A bit like HIM and The Killers being put in a blender by the crazy Mindless Self Indulgence.

I got their new CD (which isn't technically new. It's complicated) 'Until There's Nothing Left Of Us,' and it's brilliant. A lot of thought goes into their music. Pill described the vocals as 'smooth,' especially on 'Lips Like Morphine,' and I don't think she's wrong. Oh, she's going to see them perform in Oxford, which is unfair, because I wanna go, but I have a Chemistry exam that afternoon. You Pill.

Another band that Pill really likes are math-rockers Foals:

I admit, they're pretty damn good. Like Kill Hannah, they also put a lot of thought into their music. On tracks like 'Red Socks Pugie' and 'Big Big Love (Fig. 2),' this aspect of their music is evident. And 'Cassius' is as catchy as the flu. One major bonus is the fact that they're from Oxford. Haha.

I missed Capdown's last ever performance :( They've split up. They are one of my favourite bands, showing an intelligent mix of Punk, Ska and Hardcore. It's a shame they won't be working together anymore.

Oh well.

Gigantic Gasps

Now that is a giant rubber duck.

I have a weakness for rubber duckies. Ever since I found a rubber duckie on the streets of Paddington with Burmann (which was what it was named afterwards) written on its chest, I feel tempted to get every rubber duckie I see and make a rubber duckie museum. But I've managed to keep myself from going duck-crazy. So now I only have one rubber duckie, albeit a very big one. This is Burmann Junior:

Burmann Junior is a birthday gift from Deylah, before we were going out. It was an amazing 20th birthday.

So with that I'm gonna blog about all my 'toys.' Hahaha. Bear with me. Which brings me to the next specimen.

Above is Teddy Zee, Ducky, full name Theodore Zachariah Duckstein, a Valentines Day gift from Zeerah. It's a limited edition Easter Tatty Teddy, with the number 8911 (out of 9,000 made), 911 being my birthday (9th November). Though technically Teddy Zee is wearing a chick costume, I still like to deceive myself in saying it is a duck costume. Hahaha. Notice he is wearing a Love badge, which was something we all had to wear on Valentines Day that year.

The next one is the very special edition TMX Elmo, which I fell in love with after watching it on youtube. This is possibly the best plush toy ever created in the history of humanity. Seriously, there is nothing that will make you laugh more than a laughing, falling, Tickle Me Extreme (TMX) Elmo. This is the very same one that caused Elmo Mania two Christmases ago. Thank you guys for getting me Elmo for Christmas. Hahaha. It's the kid in me that fell in love with a laughing red toy.

This purple dragon, I'm not sure what it is. Lan, my housemate, gave it to me after he won it in one of those carnival games thingy. Lan is amazing at basketball (he represented Shropshire in the County basketball tournament), so the hoops challenge, he dominated. Seeing as he won a lot of giant fishes, giant dogs and giant dragons, I shamelessly asked him for a purple dragon. And he duly gave me one.

This is special (not that the others aren't, Haha). It was given to me by Fee along with a postcard.

This, Pill gave to me when she got back from Brunei in the Winter holidays. It's a purple cow pencil case filled with mil chocolate, which was good. I'm not going to use it for school though. Hahaha. Imagine the banter.

And lastly, this post is dedicated to Burmann, the original duck I lost after a few months finding him in the streets of Paddington.

I remember bringing Burmann along with me, then squeezing him behind children's back, so they turn back and get puzzled and confused. It's the funniest thing ever.

It's weird, this. I actually miss Burmann right now.

I know, I sound like a girl. A very little girl. Thanks for telling me what I already know.

This Friday Fright

Not much to update today. I woke up at around 12.30, just before lunch. And the whole afternoon I spent going online, and I found this website, poemhunter.com, so I posted all my 'poems' there, and though it's annoying as hell with it's ever-popping pop-ups, it's a quick way to get people to respond to your pieces, and you to look at what other ordinary people like you are writing about.

Other than that, it's been a very unproductive day.

Just to make this entry more interesting, I put up some photos :)

Simplifying Absent Concepts

So... I have been practically absent from the online world for a couple of days now. And considering I have a lot of free time on my hands right now (even though exams are looming ever closer), that's very unusual.

I have used up my Three mobile broadband quota for the month, which is quite impressive, I think, considering it was the 19th. Just under 2 weeks to go. Aah. Damn it. That means no MSN, no Skype for the next two weeks. Not having MSN doesn't really bother me though, since out of 200 contacts, I only really chat with 5 of them. Skype has been invaluable, since I've been using it to call Pill, ever since my phone contract got barred again. Aah. If you haven't noticed, I'm in a financial muddle right now. But not to worry. I'll sort it out. Somehow.

Half term is coming. But before that, it'll be the Leavers Dinner first for Severn Hill. It's gonna be such a ruckus. At least I hope it is. Last year was.

I need to start studying. Soon.

Champions' League final tonight. That's not gonna help me do my English essay, which is due tomorrow.

Vicious Vindaloo

Today's been a truly brilliant day. Imagine this. I was sleeping, waiting for my only lesson of the day. All this while in my humiliating state of just wearing boxers and my whole room in a complete state of mess. This is only one small part of my room. I have saved you the agony and pain of seeing the full scale of the total chaotic nature of my humble abode:

So yes, you can stop imagining me in my boxers now, you pervert. There I was, dreaming about something to do with... I can't remember. For all I know it could have been something about the Invisible Pink Unicorn or The Flying Spaghetti Monster. And suddenly I heard two knocks on the door. This being a boys' boarding house, knocking is almost non-existent, and privacy is as elusive as Elmo's penis, I was surprised that someone actually bothered to knock on the door. And who should it be but Pill all the way from Oxford opening the door. I was surprised to say the least, though I didn't think I showed the full enormous scale of my shock. I mean, Oxford is at least (and this is if you're very lucky) 2 hours by train, and 3,456 years by foot. I wouldn't expect her to make the day trip. This isn't even the first time she did it. She came for my 20th birthday (with a few other people, thanks guys :D) to surprise me. And this was when we weren't yet together.

Back to the story. Sorry if you're already bored. Haha. Skip this blog if you're not into reading the daily lives of people. I know I'm not. Heh.

Seeing as she was there, I reluctantly showered so that I didn't smell of sleepy sweat and stale saliva. And I had a lesson soon. But hey, the FSM might have favoured me that day, as I got a PR (private reading - or as we like call it, private recreation) for Chemistry. Realising what a gem this was, me, Pill and Geo decided to go to town.

And it all went from there. Had lunch at Ask with Farah and Adri. Then some quality private time with Pill. Then Pill went back on the 7.22pm train. And so went for a meal at The Curry House:

I have never had anything spicier (possibly) than the Veggie Vindaloo I had then. Mubin, Farah, Adri and Chiao got a taste of it, and most of them almost cried. I think the Curry House must have made a really tidy profit because we were ordering Coke every 3 minutes or so.

To end this probably very tedious and boring read, I would just like to say... Happy birthday Adri!

When Nothing Comes To Mind

You know what.

I think I'm not as outspoken as I used to be on my blog. And it kinda bugs the hell out of me.

I remember the ill-advised rants about vegetarianism (I'm a vegetarian). I remember expressing my view about gay rights. And I remember cursing the racists for their elitism. Okay, sure, none of my opinions have changed. Yet I have not found anything like that to talk about.

I did rant about forwarded e-mails, but c'mon, that's something trivial.

I guess a part of me has mellowed down. Maybe it's because of Pill. Or maybe that anger has disappeared out of disappointment, knowing that sometimes certain things you can't change through an entry. And maybe it's because I don't like to repeat myself, and I've run out of issues to discuss.

This is one about homosexuality, and this one is about vegetarianism.

I think having a blog is more than just being a way to update people on how you are doing. I guess that's obvious to most people. But yet, many don't take advantage of that fact. I use mine to let people read my stories, to entertain even. Okay, I do admit sometimes my blog is terribly dull. C'mon, I've got my down days, where I don't have anything to write except my dull, unexciting day.

I'm thinking I will put a section on the side for all my stories, where I'll put links to them. I think that will be awesome. I might just do that now.

EDIT:

I've done it. I've linked to all my stories and other stuff, on the side, in a section called Written To Be Read. Read this one first: The Finer Story Of True Love. I sent it to the.. I can't even remember what the society is called now. Oh, the Sidney Carton society in school which focuses on writing short stories. They let me in, so I'm thinking it must worth something. Hahaha.

Tell me what you think, if you're bothered. And if you have the time, and I know most of you do (Hahaha), read the others.

Pill, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I was unfaithful, and I'm sorry. I was being stupid. I didn't know what I was doing. It was rash. It was thoughtless.

This other person doesn't mean a thing to me. Not one.

If you don't wanna be hurt, look away now:

Faces In-Between Spaces

I'm quite content with my life at the moment. Sure, I'm in a disgusting amount of debt. Sure, I probably won't get to my first choice Uni. And I'm as hell sure that this has been the most hard-working term I've ever had in my life. But despite all that - and to an extent partly because all that - I'm happy with how my life is now.

At least every three weeks I have something (or someone - Pill, that is. Haha) to look forward to. I'm having fun in school. This house, my housemates has been great to me. I like living in England. The freedom, the variety. The many things and places I can do and go to.

Not that my life is all sunshine though. Even this English summer is bound to be spoilt by the infamous English summer rain. And it was last night. Bloody thunderstorm.

But as it is right now, I'm as hell sure I'm content and happy with what I've got.

Wistful Pillow Fights

So it's Wednesday. So it's a bit late for an update on how my weekend was. So this. So that.

Well, my weekend was brilliant. Spent with Pill, again. Thorpe Park was amazing. There's some really good rollercoasters that will blow your mind.

There's one called Stealth, that starts from a standstill to 80mph in under 2 seconds, and before you realise how fast you're going the rollercoaster suddenly goes up just over 200 feet and then you plummet back down. It's ridiculously fast and intense.

There's another called Colossus, and suggested by the name, is absolutely immense. You're basically just rolling around a loop every split second. I think it's got the world record for most inversions, as they say it. Which says something.

Nemesis Inferno is a bigger, badder version of Nemesis in Alton Towers. It's absolutely intense. Too bad we couldn't take our shoes off for the ride. It would've felt amazing if we could feel the wind crashing on our feet as they dangle under the coaster.

Me & Pill got absolutely soaked after riding Tidal Wave. Apparently 3 tonnes of water were forced into the air as the boat hits the bottom. It explains a lot. This is much, much better than the Waterfall in Jerudong Park. Waterfall has nothing on Tidal Wave. Tidal Wave really feels like you're being attacked by a waterfall. I had to take off my shirt and just wear my jacket with nothing inside. The water was so cold.

The shittiest ride was X:/No Way Out. It's supposed to be a backwards in-the-dark rollercoaster. Great on paper, but in practice, it was shit. It stopped every 20 seconds, which stopped the flow of adrenaline. And the loops were non-existent. I think in terms of in-the-dark rollercoasters, Disneyland's Aerosmith Rock 'N Roll was way better, even though it wasn't backwards.

Thorpe Park is amazing. Me & Pill have already bought the tickets for next time, and guess what, this time it's only £10 each. And it's open, so we can go anytime we want. When they said Thorpe Park is the thrill capital of England, they weren't being funny.

By the way, I got myself a new monitor. And a wireless desktop.

Sorry you can't see the wireless keyboard. You can still see my laptop, which basically has become just a PCU really. It's where I plug all my USB and stuff, and switch it on. I don't even have to have the lid open anymore. Except of course when I switch it on or use the webcam.

Yes, I think the monitor is amazing. Acer X222W it is. Yes, tech-jargon. Who wants that. All I need to know was that it's only £150, 22 inches, and is amazing for working (yes, I do work) and watching films.

I know I spend a lot of money. But most of the time I never regret my money-spending, wasting ways. This is one of those times. And the Thorpe Park trip wasn't bad either.

Believe Me, We're Not Going

Heh. Bloody Warwick. Hahahaha.

Tell you what. They can fuck right off.

After making me wait for almost 5 months, they have the fucking audacity to send me an online interview before even offering me anything. Add the fact that they've only given me 48 hours to do it. It's not even funny. And I'm not doing it. Simple as that. I've already passed the deadline.

Okay, fair enough. Part of why I chose to not even do the interview is because I'm not even considering Warwick at all. Not my kind of place.

Do they not have the common sense to think that maybe, just maybe, that by giving an interview this close to an exam, it would be the last thing I wanna do because I might have better things to do? Like revise for my English mocks, do my two English essays, revise for my Chemistry mocks, and watch Clive game on Gears Of War?

So I'm left with York, UCL and Royal Holloway, which ain't too bad of a range of choices. Here we go. Again. First choice, UCL. Second, York. Easy-peasy. York's accomodation is unbelievably cheap, from what I've found out after reading the booklet they gave me months ago, which I only picked up two days ago.

Anyways, I'm tired as hell. I fell asleep on the phone to Pill last night. Again. I'm not sure why I'm so tired. I've done a fair amount of work, yes. Probably a lot more than usual. But I doubt that's the only contributing factor. I think I'm so used to waking up by Pill's side, and lie in until midday, falling back to sleep, and waking up to her again and again.

Maybe.

A Population Of Unnoticed Solace

It's the last day of term, but really, there's almost no one left in the house. So in fact, the actual last day of term was indeed yesterday. That was when 80% of the school population buggered off. Not to mention another 5% leaving before that. So the remaining 15% are left to rot and die until saved by the sweet coming of Thursday.

So yesterday was alright. It was the Assassins final, which was an 8-man match. It's quite complicated how it works. Well, not really. I just can't be bothered to jot down the details here. Haha. And guess who won?

It's the same guy who knocked me out in the 2nd day, or the 1st round after the preliminary. It's Paddy fucking Thornycroft. No, I don't really have anything against him. He's a good lad. And I guess it's some kind of a consolation that I was knocked out by the eventual champion, not some beef obscure guy who nobody knows.

It's Thursday. It's the day I see Pill :D It's the beginning of a whole Easter holiday with Pill :D

Three Burning Ducks In Tandem

Fuck, I'm so fucking bored out of my fucking mind.

Fuck.

I guess I should be grateful. I could be doing three courseworks at the same time. Now I've got none. Absolutely zilch. Zero.

All the work that's been given have been quite lightweight. Even Doc Law, or The Claw, who's notorious for giving work that will take six hours off your Sunday (I'm not even exaggerating) is being quite carefree at the moment. Get this. He actually tolerates late work. Oh my fucking jeez. And he's telling us to slow down with the work load. This is the same teacher who made us finish our coursework weeks before the other sets have even started. This is the same teacher who set us 30 hours of work for the Winter holidays.

Of course Fanning gives no work at all, except really beef essays. Just spend 40 minutes and do 600 words and you'll probably get an A or B, quite easily. Do that with Doc Law, and you'll barely scrape an E.

I like orange juice. Especially when they're free. And the fact that I can use my window as a fridge, so I can just wake up and take a sip early in the morning.

I like socks. Especially when they're colourful. That applies to boxers too. They're a sight for sore eyes when you take off your shoes.

I'm not sure why I needed to tell you that. I just did.

Pill's busy seeing Little Women being performed in school, so I can't call her up.

I'm bored. Out of my fucking mind.

Bored.

Mind.

Fucking.

I need something to do. Quick.

I haven't heard anything from Warwick yet. Procrastinating bastards. You heard me. Reject me now so I can get on with my life. I'm not just saying that because I'm bitter, but because I'm not actually gonna accept Warwick. In fact, I'm not even considering going there anymore. I never did. It was my sixth choice. I was actually going to put Cardiff instead, but found out they had interviews. That put me off completely. So Warwick is basically just a last-minute filler.

Why do elephants have flat feet?

Believing In A Two-Thirds Possibility

Assassins. Day Three.

One of the favourites for the tournament, Johnny Shaw, got knocked out by Severn Hill's very own George Rae. Of course it took quite meticulous planning.

The window at the end of the Upper Sixth corridor in the house had to be covered so that Johnny wouldn't be able to see through into the house. And in this case, we knew the best plan of attack would be defence. Battling it out in the outdoors would be suicidal against Johnny. He had full combats, and could sneak behind you like a mouse.

So Geo decided to wait around the corner at the end of the corridor, near his room. It was the best course of action to lure Johnny into Severn Hill. The motion sensor for the lights in the toilet had to be covered so that Geo could camp in there without giving out light. To bait Johnny into the house, Geo left a window open in the bike room. And he took the bait. All Geo had to do was wait.

He waited for about 2 and a half hours before Johnny came sneaking into the house. As Johnny was sneaking to Lowco's room opposite the toilet, Geo squirted his face.

Tom Allen got knocked out by Jimmy Taylor from Rigg's. Clive got knocked out by Welshie in a duel at the dump because they went over the time limit. Hairy has yet to fuel with Sam Tay from Ridgemount.

Away from Assassins, today has been quite relaxing. Because it's Field Day, the Upper Sixth has no lessons. Instead we have to work on our own.

Yoi.

I did fuck all today. I did clear up the things under my bed, but that's it. We had a buffet lunch at Pizza Hut. Of course being the greedy schoolboys we are, we piled our plates with a ridiculous amount of food. I had about 10 pieces of pizza, and 2 plates of pasta, which isn't even close to being the most. In Severn Hill, Pete ate 14 pieces. One guy from another house - Patrick Lapage, I think it was - ate 22 pieces by the time we left, and was still going for more.

Fuck damn it, I didn't feel well. My stomach wasn't happy at all. But it was a good laugh. Alan Lau had ice cream with Tabasco sauce. Of course that isn't too weird since Pill has Peri Peri sauce on her yoghurt. Haha.

Shit. Nelly is playing on my iTunes. Change it, quick.

Ah. Gorillaz. That's better.

~The digital won't let me go~

Which song is that from? Right answer gets a cookie. Quick. Offer ends after I finish this sentence. Oh, shit. You missed it. Oh well. Next time, then.

I'll miss this place. Five more weeks, and I'll have no more lessons here. It's been an amazing one and a half years here, in Shrewsbury School. I enjoyed myself here, and I'm still enjoying it. The ethos of the school fits me. It's such a carefree school, and yet it's academically excellent. Other things like sports and debating, we usually dominate. I guess it's my kind of school.

Maximum yield with least amount of effort.

The Salopian way, they say.

It's amazing how much it is a 'students' school. You get the real sense of community in the school, and with the other houses, there's that refreshing friendly rivalry in everything from football to debating to music to even organising house dances. The closure that things like doing house plays brings is amazing.

And even though it's quite an expensive school to get into, there's no snobbery at all. A lot of them are quite down to earth. You won't know by looking at a person that his father owns three mansions and is a millionaire. I guess a show of wealth is really just asking to be ridiculed. You'll get a lot of stick if you came in wearing a flashy suit and being driven in a Rolls Royce.

We're not posh. Rich, maybe, some of us. Not posh.

And we play harder than we work. House dances, Assassins, football. And oh, the occassional rule-breaking. None too serious. But we live a little.

We have massive food fights.

We have massive water fights.

We have massive snow fights.

There's even a WWBrook thing going on. A kind of wrestling tournament.

But like everything here, the controlled violence never goes over the top.

It's funny, one of Pill's teachers said that Shrewsbury students aren't really known to be perfect gentlemen. I guess it's partly true. We let ourselves go a lot more than other schools like ours. And we are who we are because of that.

I'll miss this school.

The Overreaction Of An Understatement

The weekend is over. We're back in school, and already I'm looking forward to the Easter break. Now, officially, we only have at the most five weeks of lessons time left. Including next term. How amazing does that sound? Five weeks and A' Levels over and done with. No more 3,000-worders to be done three hours before the lesson. Of course I haven't mentioned the exams. And the 10,000-worders (probably more) in Uni. But from what I've heard, there aren't too many lectures for the English course. I've heard something as ridiculous as two lectures a week, which would just be amazing.

So how was my weekend, that's the question everyone asked me today. Of course I only greeted it with the polite response of 'it was good. How was yours?' and then not actually bothering to hear how the person's weekend went.

But if I bothered to answer your question properly, it would be an extended version of that. This is how it would go.

'It was good, thanks. I went to London, stayed in Brunei Hall. Went to see Pill, which is always a treat. This time we didn't intentionally get lost anywhere in London, but it was fun nonetheless. It was great. Then there was the ICUBS Brunei Night, which, to be honest, was complete balls.'

I'd take a short pause and then,

'The acting was poor, the jokes were recycled garbage that failed to be funny after the second time being told. The standards were close to that of a high school production. Not much better, really. Probably the only few good bits were the dancing, especially the modern dance. The traditional dance was a bit messy and out of sync. The sound editing was horrible. The stage management, the lights, it was amateur. I mean, I've seen much better performed, much funnier and more professional plays written and directed by high school 16-year-olds.'

'I'm pretty sure they worked hard at it. And I appreciate that. But...'

'It was overacted... Poorly. The diction was unclear at times, and the plot was absolute nonsense.'

And then I would remark on how mean of me to say that, but I wouldn't apologise because I'm allowed to criticise, aren't I?

I went to that because I thought it would be good seeing a theatrical performance by Bruneians. I'm not saying that all Bruneian productions are automatically bad. I've seen some pretty good ones. But I expect better from a bunch of Uni students. Much better.

Multiplication Of Miltonian Melodies

I am feeling quite irritable at the moment. Really. I cringingly went through two lessons yesterday with a sense of utter boredom and immense irritability. I even found my fringe extremely annoying. I felt like cutting it off with a pair of garden scissors and burning it in a big bonfire, which just so happens to be in the middle of the Science building.

I had no lessons in the afternoon, so I went to town with Clive, essentially doing nothing useful, wandering around like there's nothing else to do but wander around town. I treated myself to a mug of hazelnut hot chocolate from Starbucks, which didn't taste as good as I remembered. Oh well.

Actually I was gonna do some work for Paradise Lost for English over my double PR, but I forgot the most essential thing, the actual book itself. So that plan has gone to pieces. Now I'm just Multiplying and G-Mailing. If such terms do exist. I mean, if Facebooking is an actual word, then I would imagine it would involve slapping someone's face with a book, but hey, apparently it's staring into a computer screen for six hours ignoring friend requests from people you don't know from the U.A.E. and blocking invitations to applications asking if you want to know if you share your personality with Britney Spears. Even Multiplying means something else. In the past it would mean reproducing mini Jays that run around wreaking havoc and destruction plotting world domination, but now it means posting up seven hundred photos on one album so that it will take that one person on a dial-up modem three days to fully load the whole page.

Ah, the wonderful threat that modernisation brings to the world. Cyberspace. Even that term has gone out of date, out of the list for 'hip' terms. I mean, the only people who would actually use the term cyberspace are people who thinks to justify in Microsoft Word means you have to argue the point you just made in your Word document. Word.

I think Microsoft Word sounds like it was developed by a bunch of programmers doubling as ghetto gangsta's who carry guns around, with a massive amount of bling around their necks and on their fingers. Word.

I still have the image of mini Jays running around. I'm sorry. It's a bit freaky now it's come up.

I bet I would have a favourite mini Jay who would come complaining that the other mini Jays have been bullying him because he's the smartest one.

Which brings me to my next point. For my 21st birthday, I want a Mini. Whichever Mini it is. The Mini Cooper S maybe? That's what I want. Better save up. I'm not even being subtle here. I'm throwing it out in the open. I want it wrapped in a wrapping paper with little Mini prints. And the birthday card would have the keys inside it. Don't forget. It's only, what, 8 months away.

I need a girlfriend. Oh wait.. Never mind. Forget I said that, Pill.

Hahaha. Joking, Pill.

Dancing Amidst The Chaos

Finally, I have finished my phone bill, which has been bugging me for months. £678.75 it was by the end of December, and only in early March have I paid the full amount. Of course that meant I had to basically eat dust during the holidays, but I survived through. Of course my friends kept me afloat. Hahaha. Every little helps. Thanks anyways. Especially my pill.

So... Anything else?

Oh. Oh.

House dance!

It was good fun. Too bad there weren't too many people on the dance floor. Half of them just congregated in the corridors, shweffing and trying to find empty rooms to sneak into and have some, as Borat would call it, 'sexytime.' The chill-out room was essentially the make-out room. The theme, Cartoon Characters, brought out some very good costumes. Two people came as Smurfs, essentially painting their upper bodies and faces completely blue. I came as Popeye, unfortunately so did two other guys. But never mind. People said I had the best costume. Hahaha. I had Olive Oyl with me as well :D Haz (McHale) probably had the best hairdo. He came as Sonic the hedgehog, so he sprayed his hair metallic blue and spiked it up. It looked absolutely amazing.

Though Pill arrived late (which isn't her fault, really), I enjoyed the dance even before it. When she finally came, I just couldn't stop smiling. Everyone in my year in the house knew about Pill just because they kept on sneaking in and making noises when I was on the phone with her, so to finally have introduced her to everyone, I was glad everyone liked her. Even our temporary matron, Heather, said that Pill was lovely. She kept on asking me when is the next time I'll see her again.

It may not be the best house dance for most people, I did enjoy the night with Pill, and I enjoyed helping out with the preparations, and finding the costumes, and looking at the faces of the Lower Sixth when they were told they weren't coming. Muahahaha.

I still haven't got any photos up yet. Mrs Wright, who was the camerawoman for the night, has not posted the photos yet, so blame her. I may get some pre-dance photos from Lan of when we were getting ready.

This weekend I get to see Pill again :D

Intertwined Lives

Her: "I'll miss you, but not quite as much as when I'm about to meet you again."

A moment
Unchangeable
Two souls under the starless sky
Eyes fixed, they smile
Unchangeable
One moment
Two smiles
Under the scene of this starless sky

You: "I'm falling for a girl I'm not supposed to fall for. And I like it."

The colours filled the night sky
With songs and laughter
Then there we were
Amidst the hundreds of thousands
Dancing in embrace
Your hands in mine
The night seemed ours
And ours alone

The Returning Tremors Of Yesteryear

Ah, yes. The earthquake. Sorry pill. I didn't tell you that I felt it too, but I didn't wanna freak you out last night. I mean, both our beds shaking at the same exact moment while we're on the phone. You were scared enough. Haha. An apology is due. I'm sorry.

Anyways, yes. For the rest. Just in case the others didn't feel it because, well, you were all asleep at around 1am, you missed an earthquake. They say it was the biggest in years. But then they don't have too many earthquakes here.

I thought someone was trying to wind me up. Y'know, one of those pranks. I thought someone was hiding under my bed shaking it just to scare me. I checked under the bed, and then I realised there is no way someone could fit under my bed, simply because I have way too much stuff in there. It's proper carnage in there. I swear, if you hid a dead body in there, it'll be quite hard to find.

I need to get a sailor hat, a pipe, and a sailor tattoo. And oh, a can of spinach. I can't wait to meet Olive.

Get with it.

Infatuated With The Sweetest Pill

I just got back from James Higham's art exhibiton opening, in the Art School. Compared to Geo, James has a more realistic style, much less abstract, and admittedly a better painter, but Geo is much more entertaining, with bolder ideas, and more creativity. Abstract really suits him. But who am I to comment though. I'm not the most artistic person in the world. Haha. Oh, and congratulations goes to Geo for getting into Wimbledon Arts.

Anyways, today has been tiring. Although I only had 3 lessons out of 7, I had to use up my triple PR and breaktime to finish my English notes.

My pill. Colon D. She knows what I'm talking about. Haha.

I've got no work to do, till.. No. I actually don't right now. All the set work has been done and handed in. What a gem.
